Community Cares Day of Giving Radiothon slated for Sept. 14

September is the month that the Lebanon Area Foundation looks to fund its Community Cares program through the Community Cares Fall Campaign. Among the offerings is the Community Cares Day of Giving Radiothon sponsored by KJEL 103.7, scheduled for 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 14. “This is a really big part of the LAF Community Cares Fall Campaign. Community Cares is our local giving program, very much the United Way for Laclede County. Even though we do receive funds through payroll deduction all year round from local businesses that participate and even though we raise money at dinner and comedy nights and our end of year requests, we still have to have our big push during the fall in order to be able to meet the need,” LAF Director Melinda Fries said.
