Community Cares gives $150,000 to local nonprofit groups

The Community Cares program raised $150,000 for local nonprofits this year, announced Lebanon Area Foundation Board of Directors President Debbie Moore during the organization’s celebration event on Thursday. The LAF along with the donation recipients celebrated the occasion with check and award presentations at LifePoint Church. Moore thanked the elected officials, the LAF board of directors and staff, Fall Campaign sponsors and all others who assisted with the fundraising. “This year, we received requests totaling just over $233,000. I am honored to announce that, thanks to so many of you in this room, Community Cares will be awarding $150,000 to 26 different nonprofits today,” Debbie said.
