Commissioners-elect Erik Lindsey and Joe Wasmer went over the basics of county budgeting with the current commission and county clerk Linda Cansler during the body’s work study on Tuesday.
Cansler led the discussion, with the current commissioners providing input and lessons learned from experience. The process formally begins with a legal notice two weeks from the county’s prebudget hearing followed by individual budget hearings from each department.
