Temperatures in the 30s failed to deter fishermen from showing up for the opening day of Trout season Friday at Bennett Spring State Park.
The Missouri Department of Conservation reported that 1,580 tags had been sold as of 7 a.m. opening day. This includes 1,466 adult tags and 114 child tags. Last year, the park reported total tag sales of 1,662 on opening day.
