CLYDE BERG

Clyde Elroy Berg, 93, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, in Lebanon.

He was born Feb. 4, 1927, in Lebanon to Emil and Hazel Arnold Berg.

Clyde was married to Zelma Katherine Blankenship.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Zelma Katherine Berg; one brother, Lloyd Berg; and two sisters, Fern Rodgin and Bonita Randolph.

Clyde graduated from Lebanon High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army and proudly served our country for a period of time, before attending University of Missouri in Columbia for a couple of years. Clyde began his career in garment manufacturing at the age of sixteen, at Ric Stix, in 1946. The company changed names over the years, but he remained with them until his retirement in 1992, from Big Yank Corporation in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Clyde then returned to Lebanon, where he remained.

He is survived by two sons, Wally Berg and his wife Leila of Canada and Greg Berg and his wife Kim of Hattiesburg, MS; two grandchildren, Robert Berg and his wife Chess of Mountain View, Ark., and Thomas Wayne Berg and his wife Natalie of Pearl, Miss.; one great-grandchild, Demu Berg of Mountain View, Ark.; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Graveside service for Clyde Elroy Berg was scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at Mt. Rose Memorial Park with Bruce Blankenship officiating. The burial was held under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

No visitation was scheduled.
