The City of Lebanon celebrated the renovation of the Kenneth E. Cowan Civic Center Monday with an open house and ribbon cutting.
Mayor Jared Carr recalled former Mayor Kenneth Cowan, who the center is named for.
“Mayor Cowan was a man of great vision and arguably presided over some of the greatest growth in the history of our city,” Carr said. “In his foresight, he knew such a facility would be a great investment in the growth of our community. It was an ambitious plan, but if there was anyone who could make it a reality, it was Mayor Cowan,” Carr said.
