City begins work on new Nelson Park

Posted

Work has started on Lebanon’s new Nelson Park near the Lebanon Middle School.
The work is expected to be finished with phase one of construction in time for the next baseball season.
The city began construction on the new Nelson Park after the City Council voted to sell the city’s current Nelson Park to White River Marine, a division of Tracker Boats, in June.
According to Lebanon Communications Manager Derek Gean, the deal was closed on Tuesday and primarily dirtwork is going on right now. He said the goal is to open by 2020 for the first pitch of baseball season.
