CHRISTOPHER G. SORRELL

Christopher Gordon Sorrell, son of Dennis Gordon Sorrell and Doris Ann (Burnett) Rudie, was born on November 14, 1967, in Cold Water, Ohio and departed this life on January 16, 2024, at his home near Niangua, At the time of his passing he was 56 years, two months, and one day of age.

Christopher was united in marriage to Lisa Essary on July 14, 1984, and to this union two children where born, Niki and Christopher Keith. The family ran a successful Feather Merchant business, moving all over the United States and Internationally for a short time. Christopher loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, cooking barbeque for his family, and spoiling his granddaughter and English Bulldogs. He had spent the last few years hauling RV’s all across the country.

Christopher was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Keith Sorrell and his stepfather, Michael Rudie. He is survived by his wife Lisa of the home; one daughter, Niki Sorrell and partner Joel Alexander of Springfield; one son, Christopher Keith Sorrell of Niangua; his mother, Doris Ann Rudie; his father, Dennis Gordon Sorrell and wife Sharon; two sisters, Cynthia Lynn Roberts of Florida and Trinity and husband Austin Felton of Niangua; two grandchildren, Violet Alexander and Archer Sorrell; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members who will all truly miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation was from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Southwest Missouri.
