Christine Paulette Bredenkoetter, 46, of Lebanon, died Monday, April 24, 2023, in Lebanon.

She was born Jan. 16, 1977, in Peoria, Ill. to Charles and Sherry Daniels Hafele.

On July 4, 2007, she was united in marriage to Kurt Bredenkoetter.

Those preceding her in death include her father, Charles Hafele; one sister, Therese Marie Jackson; two nephews, Andrew Jackson and Riley Cochran; her in-laws, Cleta McEwin, Pete Stone, Patricia Bredenkoetter and Dutch Bredenkoetter, and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Christine worked many years as a cook in management at Wendy’s. Most recently she was employed with Slim Chickens as a traveling manager, where she helped set up area restaurants. She enjoyed traveling, especially to New Orleans. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She loved Lilo and Stitch, white tigers and Care Bears. However, nothing compared to the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, she had a special bond with them.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Sky Sisk and her husband Joshua of Lebanon; her husband, Kurt Bredenkoetter; her mother, Sherry Hafele; siblings, Harold Hafele of Eldridge; Jimmie Peake of Minnesota; Jennifer Barnett and her husband Richard of Lebanon; Robert Hafele of Lebanon; Charles Hafele II and his wife Lachrystal of Phillipsburg; Bethann Hafele and her husband Billy, of Lebanon; MaryBeth Marcum and her husband Stephen of Eldridge; Heather Bishop of Springfield; Kathleen Hafele and her significant other, Marcus of Phillipsburg and Samantha Cochran and her husband Raymond of Lebanon; grandchildren, Bailey, Vincent, Michael, Justice and Ryder; Sky’s biological father, Doug Stone of Lebanon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan Bredenkoetter, Pat Bredenkoetter, Marian Billings and their families; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service for Christine Paulette Bredenkoetter was held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. There is no scheduled burial. At her request, her body is to be cremated following the service. Visitation was from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Memorials have been suggested to Crohn’s Disease Foundation or to Christine’s family. Donations may be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948 or 1001 N.
