CHARLES DEAN MOORE

Charles Dean Moore, 83, of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 3, 2021, at Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lebanon.
He was born Feb. 17, 1937, near Grovespring, Mo. to Robert “Arch’’ and Eliza Jane Gourley Moore.
On Oct. 18, 1955, he married Lois Lee Ward, and they shared 59 happy years before her passing on Nov. 16, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a special son, Danny “Whitey’’ Coffey; a granddaughter, Candy Marie; three brothers, Herman, Earnie, and Wilford Moore; and four sisters, Roberta Weaver, Thelma Barker, Andy Johnson, and Imogene Lindsay.
Charles lived his entire life in Laclede County near Grovespring. After he and Lois were married, they made their home in the Grovespring and Phillipsburg area and lovingly raised their family. Charles worked as a press operator for the H.D. Lee Company for many years, and then hauled wood and had various other jobs until retiring.
He had recently made his profession of faith in Christ and was ready to meet his Savior.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Daniels and her husband Bradley of Grovespring and Geraldine Coffey of Phillipsburg; three sons, Lavon Moore and his wife Sandy of Conway; Robert Moore and his wife Rhonda of Kansas City, Kan., and Chris Sloan and his wife Mary of Lebanon; his brother, Lorraine Moore of Grovespring; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; his special friend Donna Traw; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Charles Dean Moore will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Dean Davis officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion-Cuba Cemetery near Grovespring. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
