CAROLYN MIZER

Carolyn Mizer, 82, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022, in Lebanon.

She was born Nov. 9, 1939, in Lebanon, Mo. to Carl and Thelma Staley Long.

On May 4, 1957, she was united in marriage with Billy Gene Mizer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Billy; one son, David Mizer, and one granddaughter, Kenise Danelle Restivo.

Carolyn was a devoted wife and homemaker, always putting the needs of her family, first. For a period of time, she worked outside her home at H.D. Lee Garment Factory as a seamstress. She enjoyed bird watching, nature and sewing. More important was time spent with her family. She loved them deeply and unconditionally.

She is survived by two children, Terry Mizer and his wife Louanne and Jannise Moore and her husband Bud; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Mizer of Lebanon; grandchildren, Angela Shadel and her husband Casey of Lebanon; Brad Mizer and his wife Michelle, also of Lebanon; Nicki Restivo and Jake Giljum of Overland Park, Kan.; Lexi Mizer and Hayden Peters of Rogers, Ark.; Karli Mizer and David Faulk of Little Rock, Ark. and Dillon Mizer and his wife Brittany of Fayetteville, Ark.; great-grandchildren, Beau, Nash, and Claire Shadel, Mason Paxton and Corbyn Mizer, Brady and Bexley Mizer and Koralynn Giljum; one sister, Norma Sumner of Sedalia; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Carolyn Mizer will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
