Carl Dean Griffin, 78, of Van Buren, Ark., formerly of Lebanon, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, in Van Buren, Ark.
He was born April 13, 1943, in Lebanon, Mo. to Vester William and Lorene Garrett Griffin, who preceded him in death.
Carl was born and raised in the Lebanon area and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He then drove a truck for several years and also did excavating work with his dad. He worked with his dad in taking care of the Lebanon Cemetery for a number of years. In January, he and Teresa moved to Arkansas and made their home.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Griffin of the home in Van Buren, Ark.; four sons, David Griffin of Lebanon; Sergio Licea Jr. of Lebanon; Shaun Pepper of Lebanon; Ryan Pepper of Van Buren, Ark.; five daughters, Cindy Evans of Lebanon; Becky Evans of Lebanon; Cheri Heltzer of Conway; Traci Barrett of Brumley, and Angela Henry of Sunrise Beach; a number of grandchildren; his brother, Ed Griffin of Lebanon; and his mother-in-law, Goldie Keenan of Marshfield.
Graveside services and burial for Carl Dean Griffin will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at the Lebanon Cemetery with David Griffin officiating, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
