Lebanon head wrestling coach Nathaniel Rogers has repeatedly said when Canon Roark is on his game; he is tough to beat.
The junior standout showed that statement from his coach to be accurate as he finished as the runner-up at the MSHSAA Class 4 State Championships in the 132-pound bracket.
According to Missouri Wrestling rankings, Roark was the No. 6 ranked wrestler in his weight class. On his path to the finals, he knocked off Noah Johnson of Park Hill via pin, No. 5 ranked Drew Mattison (Parkway South) via pin in the first period, and No. 3 ranked Jamison Tunstill (Oak Park) by a 3-2 decision in the semifinals.
