Bobby “Bob’’ Dick Witt, 75, of Buffalo, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at the Jacobs Ladder Hospice Facility in Springfield.

He was born April 12, 1947, in Palisade, Neb. to Alvy Lin and Irene Emma (Carey) Witt.

On Nov. 23, 2009, he married Janis (Downing) Witt in Buffalo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Louise and Lucinda Lee; and three brothers, Raymond Lin, Nathan Leon, and Billie Dean Witt.

During his early life in Nebraska, and being raised with 10 other siblings, Bob learned the meaning of hard work and how to earn everything you got. He later spent the majority of his adult life in the trucking industry. Bob was an avid collector of anything and everything.

He is survived by his wife Janis Witt; two daughters, Renae Mauser and Jennifer Auman; two sons, Roy Witt and Joe Witt; one stepdaughter, Melody Braaten; two sisters, Bernice Alberta, and Carol Lavon; three brothers, Jimmie James, Clinton Eugene, and Michael Semour; 19 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

Graveside services for Bobby “Bob’’ Dick Witt will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022, in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Mo. 65804, with Bro. Caleb McClure officiating, under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
