Billy Max Montgomery, 92, of Strafford, was born Sept. 9, 1933, in Astoria, Mo. to Faye and Addie (Fletcher) Montgomery and died Monday, Oct. 20, 2025.
He is survived by three children, Debra Mahy and her husband Mike, Pamela Montgomery, Robert Montgomery and his wife Missy; five stepchildren, Michael Gonder and his wife Donna, Suzan Gonder, Chrisann Floyd and her husband Chris, Patrick Gonder and his wife Teresa, Sunny Gonder; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, under the direction of Day Funeral Home of Marshfield.
