Barbara Elaine Matthews, 78, of Buffalo, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2020.
She was born June 15, 1942, in Hartford, Ct. to Robert McCullers and Vera McCullers.
In 1959 she married Charles “Roy’’ Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Leonard McCullers and Vera Louise McCullers; her brother, James McCullers; her husband Charles Leroy Matthews; and her son, David Allen Matthews.
Survivors include her brother, Leonard McCullers; her sister, Norma Aldinger and husband Walt; five children, Charles “Chuck’’ Matthews and wife Maggie, Tina Wilson and husband Rex, Brian Matthews and wife Nancy, John Matthews and wife Tianny, and Thomas Matthews and wife Kimeberly; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, foster children and others.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, in the Chief Cornerstone Church in Buffalo with Pastor Bob Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Sweaney Cemetery under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the church. A memorial to the Alzheimer’s Association of America.
