Area law enforcement helped a local boy celebrate by crashing his seventh birthday party

“It’s not a party unless the cops show up,” read a sign at a 7-year-old’s birthday party in Atchley Park last Friday. The Lebanon Police and Laclede County officers who did show up were welcomed by 7-year-old Liam Payne who wants to be a policeman when he grows up.

Liam shared his excitement about the party when he and his mother were contacted by phone Wednesday.

“It was really great. I got to see the lights,” he said, referring to the lights on the police car.
