ANTON "TONY" KLING

Anton “Tony’’ Kling, 86, of Lebanon, died Monday, May 9, 2023, in Lebanon.

He was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Folkashevski, Yugoslavia to Josef and Anna Tittjung Kling.

On July 16, 1955, he was united in marriage to Linda Crosbie.

Those preceding him in death include his parents; eight siblings; and one son, Daniel James Kling.

Tony worked for over 30 years at All-Steel in Illinois, until his retirement. He and Linda then moved to the Bennett Spring area, where they remained. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with Linda in their younger years. He never met a stranger and was willing to do anything he could to help a family member, friend or neighbor.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, Linda; four children, Karen Golson of Aurora, Ill.; David Kling and his wife Tammi, also of Aurora, Ill.; Thomas Crosbie Kling of Ashtabula, Ohio and James Anton Kling of Carbondale, Ill.; one daughter-in-law, Sarah Kling of Plano, Ill.; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

There is no service planned at this time for Anton “Tony’’ Kling. At his request, his body is to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab.
