This weekend’s Route 66 Festival activities at Boswell Park are expected to proceed even without the completion of a new amphitheater.
The city had originally hoped to have the structure in Boswell Park ready in time for the event, but the beams they received could not be installed.
Parks Director John Shelton said the event will continue in Boswell Park at the stage.
“There just won’t be a completed roof,” he said.
He said they are working to come up some kind of shade for band members at the stage site.
