Alumni committee plans 150th celebration for Lebanon schools

Posted
A committee is working to plan a 150th anniversary celebration for Lebanon schools. A celebration event is planned for Sept. 25, beginning with an open house at the high school and the opening of the LHS History Museum. Lebanon High School Alumni Eddie Smith said alumni were saddened by the removal of the old school buildings on Adams and Washington last year and they are also working on a tribute to those schools. Smith said they were happy that the school district had announced plans for a historical marker, but Smith said he wanted to do more. “Last spring I got together a group of people in Lebanon, graduates, and we formed the Lebanon High School Alumni Association,” he said.
