Alice Marie (Tucker) McCuistion, age 83, of Harker Heights, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, January 12, 2026. Alice was born May 8, 1942 in Eugene, Oregon. She grew up on a farm in Lebanon, MO where she graduated high school in 1960.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, James and Della Mae (Wilson) Tucker, her beloved husband, Thomas McCuistion, her twin sister, Phyllis Jean Tucker, and daughter Janicee Ann Rivera (David).
She is survived by her brother Jim Tucker (Vicki), her daughter Connie Sue Posten, her sons Ralph Edward Posten, Jr., and Jamie Posten (Pamela), her cherished grandchildren Mac Myers (Eunice), Jeremy and Jonathan Rivera, Shelby, Jessica, James-Tucker (JT), and Jenni Alice Posten, her adored great-granddaughters, Isla Marie Luisa and Celina Rose Louise Myers, and her son in law, David Rivera and stepson, Mike McCuistion (Sherry).
Alice spent much of her life in the Lebanon area, where she worked at the State School in Stoutland, providing care for disabled children and as the Activities Director for the Lebanon Care Center. Alice was also Center Administrator for Central Missouri Area Agency on Aging in Lebanon and Columbia, MO.
She was an avid reader, had a deep love of arts and crafts, loved collecting jewelry, spending time with her family, was a devoted animal lover, and she worked and volunteered at the animal shelter. Everyone Alice encountered was treated the same, no matter their station in life. She was kind, humble, caring, strong and independent.
She will be remembered for her amazing grace, incredible sense of humor, deep compassion and unwavering love of her family and if provoked, sharp tongue. Alice’s warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her and her legacy of love will live on through her family and friends for generations.
