The Floyd W. Jones Airport is poised to implement its improvement plan.
Airport Manager Mike Wood said the master plan is completed and in the development phase. Wood said he believed it was currently with MoDOT Aviation awaiting approval.
Once approved, the improvement and maintenance projects can begin.
“Because it’s using federal funds, we can’t do it until this step is completed. You have to have a master plan out. That part was a lot of leg work,” Wood said.
The plan targets the next 20 years in three programs.
