A true man of vision

Posted
As an optometrist, Dr. Michael Montgomery is a true man of vision. However, 40 years ago, he probably could not have predicted he would still be enjoying his profession and improving his patients’ vision four decades later. Montgomery, 67, is originally from Canton, Ill. but lived in Clinton, Mo., during grade school. He went to the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and graduated in 1983 during a recession, making starting a new practice a challenge. He said interest was running between 18-20%, and many stores in Illinois towns the size of Lebanon were boarded up. He decided to try his Lebanon connections. For more on this story, see the LCR.
