A face-lift for downtown

In an effort to enhance the appearance of downtown and to encourage private investment in the exteriors of Downtown Lebanon commercial buildings, the Lebanon Downtown Business District has launched a façade improvement program. The funding for the program was made possible by an anonymous donation to the district. The program offers a 50 percent reimbursement for improvements to downtown storefronts. “We hope that businesses will jump on this great opportunity. Improving the streetscape of our district will encourage local and traveling traffic to stop and see what we have to offer. We believe that this is a great use of the anonymous donation,” explained Ashton Light, Downtown Business District Executive Director. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
