Jackets tackle team camp

MARYVILLE — Lebanon football head coach Will Christian is pleased with the way his team competed this past weekend at the annual Northwest Missouri team camp.
The Yellowjackets took 77 players, including 13 seniors and 29 freshmen. The team competed in a host of drills and scrimmages.
“When we go to camp, we have some primary objectives,” said Christian. “The first thing is we want to give our kids an opportunity to compete. We establish the first depth chart, not the final one, but the first depth chart off of information from the camp and film study. Next, we like to evaluate schematics as far as our winter work to see how if there are areas we need to tweak or areas we need to add. Most importantly, we want our team to bond and be together. The camp is the first opportunity for that to happen for them to come together.”
