Lebanon girls claim third consecutive district title

MCDONALD COUNTY — Through nearly three months of the wrestling season, the Lebanon High School girls’ team has dominated its competition on the mat. Saturday was no different, as the Lady ‘Jackets finished first out of 22 schools in the Missouri Class 1 District 5 championship at McDonald County to claim the team’s third-straight district title. Out of 14 weight classes,13 LHS wrestlers will represent the school at the Sectional tournament on Saturday, February 20, in Harrisonville. The team had seven individual champions, and six others qualify for the prestigious event. The top three wrestlers in each weight class will advance to the State tournament on March 9 in Independence. For more on this story see Wednesday's LCR.
