1SG (Ret) Johnny Wayne Taylor Sr., 72, of Laquey, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020, in his home.
He is survived by his wife Ruth of the home; two sons, Johnny Taylor Jr. and wife Jennifer of Jefferson City, and Steven Taylor and wife Amanda of Sand Springs, Okla.; six grandchildren, Garrett Tucker and wife Klaudia of Vicenza, Italy; Olivia Taylor of Jefferson City; Freedom and Logan Hicks, Faith, Miles and Jensen Taylor, all of Sand Springs, Okla.; one great-grandchild, Max Tucker of Vicenza, Italy; two brothers, Sonny Hopper and wife Sharon of Carthage, and Micheal Taylor and wife Louise of Buffalo; a sister, Carlann Friend and husband Ronnie of Neosho; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for 1SG (Ret) Johnny Wayne Taylor Sr. will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2020, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery of Waynesville. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
