1SG (Ret) Joe Plevin, 86, of Crocker, was born May 10, 1937, at Kinde, Mich. to Frank and Mary (Warchock) Plewinski and died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, in Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis. He is survived by his daughters, Lavon Plevin and her husband Michael Picard of Crocker, Donna Russo and Cindy Lagasse, both of the state of Michigan; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of his Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, all in the St. Marys Catholic Church in Kinde, Mich. Burial with full military honors will be in the St. Marys Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Crocker.
