Don (Pappa Don) Stradt, 82, of Stoutland, died Friday, July 27, 2018, in Lebanon.
He was born July 14, 1936, in Davenport, Iowa to Arnold and Velma Whittaker Stradt Love.
On June 29, 1957, he married Georgia Mae Love.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Georgia Mae Stradt, on Feb. 21, 2014; a son, Samuel Davis Stradt; a daughter, Nadine Alice Love; four brothers, Richard Stradt, Wayne, Raymond and Dale Love; three sisters, Edith Groover, Janet Spearman, and Sally Love.
Don Stradt was a steelworker in Iowa, moved to Missouri in 1968 and was employed with a boat factory, service station, and later worked as a carpenter in the surrounding area.
He attended Harvest Tabernacle Church.
Survivors included three sons, Donald Eugene Stradt II and his wife Mary Kay, of Lebanon; George Arnold Stradt and Jonathan Jesse Love Stradt and his wife Melissa, all of Stoutland; three daughters, Eugenia Mae Stradt, of Stoutland; Sherrill Ann Culross and her husband Harry, of Pittsburg, and Georgette Annette McShane and her husband Karl, of Conway; two brothers, Walter Stradt, of Maine and Ed Love, of Springfield, Ill.; one sister, Penny Lewis, of Bolivar; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, other relatives and many friends.
A visitation only for Don (Pappa Don) Stradt will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, in Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Pappa Don’s family for expenses and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
