The National Weather Service (NWS) in Springfield has confirmed that two tornadoes touched down in Laclede County during Monday night’s storms.
NWS told local authorities it could verify the presence of two tornadoes rated EF-0, which is described as a three-second gust of 65 to 85 miles per hour. One was southwest of Evergeen near Morgan on highway J with wind speeds of 80 miles per hour.
