Word has been received of the death of Robert (Bob) Northrip, 84, of Mission, Kan., formerly of the Sleeper area, who died Feb. 12, 2024. He was born May 8, 1939, near Sleeper to Novel (Paddy) and Jessie Northrip. He is survived by his wife Linda; four sons, Robert Earl Jr. of Overland Park, Kan., William of Glenview, Ill., Daryl of Overland Park, Kan., and David of Leawood, Kan.; and four grandchildren. A funeral service was held in Prairie Village, Kan. Burial with military honors took place at the Leavenworth Cemetery on Feb. 20.
