Mayor gives State of the City

The City of Lebanon has made numerous improvements over the past year, based on what residents wanted to see, Mayor Jared Carr said Thursday in his State of the City speech. Speaking at the weekly Lebanon Rotary Club luncheon, Carr said the improvements began as goals that were developed from a citizen survey. “In 2018, we conducted a customer satisfaction survey to access feedback from our residents,” Carr said. “Using those results, the Council and I were able to come to a consensus on a clear vision for the future that contains consistency and transparency.” He said the city has been successful in accomplishing those goals. “Throughout the last year, we have completed the following, we have implemented a master plan of streets that seeks to maintain our streets in a cost effective and growth-encouraging way. Our methods are both fiscally and strategically planned to ensure that our customers are getting the most benefit for their dollar.” For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
