Evelyn Colleen Cunningham Close, 95, of Marshfield was born Feb. 23, 1928, at Elkland to Hiram and Ruth Hoover, and died Feb. 10, 2024.
She is survived by her children, Jacqueline (Dale) Naylor of Balko, Okla.; Julianne Ellis of Imperial Beach, Calif., and Allen Cunningham of Marshfield; a number of grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Melba Fair of Aiken, S.C.; a brother, George (Pat) Hoover of Iowa City, Iowa; and four stepchildren, Paige, Lee and Paris Close.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Marshfield Christian Church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. of Marshfield. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 949 E.
