Charles “Chuck’’ Griffith, 92, of Springfield, formerly of Lebanon, was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Nevada, Mo. to Hubert Griffith and Zoe Yiesley Griffin. He died Monday, April 15, 2024, in Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon.
He is survived by his wife Patty of Springfield; three stepsons, Gary Phillips and his wife Sharon of St. Louis, J. Stotomas of Washington, D.C. and Ricky Phillips and his wife Margaret of New Orleans, La.; two grandsons; his sister, Kathy Sivils of Nevada, Mo.; and two brothers, Larry Griffith of South Dakota and Orville Griffith of Ozark. A private burial was held Friday, April 19, 2024, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
