BRECK RUSHING

Breck Rushing, 56, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, in Lebanon.

He was born Aug. 20, 1963, in Alton, Ill. to James and Carolyn Hermann Rushing.

Breck was preceded in death by his father.

He grew up in Illinois, where he was later a volunteer fireman. He also worked at McDonald Douglas, Detroit Tool and was currently employed at Lebanon Technology and Career Center as a teacher in Machine Tool Technology. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and was a member of Tri-County Bass Club and Camden County Bass Club.

Breck was a member of Richland United Methodist Church.

He is survived by three children, Chris Rushing (Stacy), Jamie Rushing, and David Rushing (Amy) all of Lebanon; significant other, Mary Suhr of Lebanon; his mother, Carolyn Gipson of Lady Lake, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Jayle and Abbie Porter, Alexa, Payton, Kason, Lydia and Rylan Rushing; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life for Breck Rushing will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. There is no scheduled burial. His body is to be cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until service time also on Thursday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Memorials have been suggested to Skills USA at Lebanon Technology and Career Center at Lebanon High School. Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O.
