Meet the 'Jackets: Jordan Lewis

What are your strengths on the football field?

One of my strengths on the football field is I have a very high motor. I will run sideline to sideline to make a tackle or extra block. I am also very vocal on the field.

What did you work on in the off-season?

This offseason for me was just getting faster and stronger. Both of those things help in so many different ways so I helped my game out a bunch. Also worked a lot of technique and footwork.

What’s it like playing on both sides of the ball?

It is tough going both ways on the football field, but we’ve been preparing for this all summer. We would have conditioning workouts and small stuff like that, it goes a long ways.

What are some goals you have for this year?

The big goal for this year is just winning another district championship. We would love to three-peat for districts. Also this year our district has changed and we get to play a few teams that will be very fun games.

Favorite sports moment?

Favorite sports moment is just being with my team and seeing us all grow up. For us seniors we’ve been together since we were little kids. It’s truly been an awesome journey in getting to grow with them. I’m blessed to call them my brothers.

Who is the most important individual in your life?

The most important individual is my dad for sure. He has always pushed me hard, and been my biggest supporter. There have been times I may not want to workout or do something, and he still made me. At the time I didn’t like it, but looking back I’m where I am today because of him.
