Leabnon XC team performs well at Bolivar

The Lebanon High School cross country team kicked off their season with asolid finish at the SWCCCA Richard Clark Invitational in Bolivar on Saturday afternoon.

Under first-year head coach Josh Smith, the ‘Jackets and Lady ‘Jackets performed well with the girls’ team finishing 13th out of 29 teams and the boys’ team placing 10th out of 38 total teams.

Smith mentioned that he and the other coaches could not be more proud of those runners after a long off-season filled with hard work and dedication.

Julianne Lopez led the way for LHS on the girls side by medaling and finishing 21st out of 231 runners with a time of 21:10.62 and right behind Lopez was sophomore Myah Hough taking 22nd with a time of 21:19.31.

Senior captain Zach Jamieson medaled for the varsity boys by placing 16th out of 344 runners with a time of 17:08.83.

On the JV side of things, Selenca Smith finished 13th out of 70 runners, Bionca Little placed 14th and medal, and overall, the girls’ junior varsity team placed 2nd out of six teams.

The team will be in St. Louis on Saturday at Forest Park for their next meet.
