Cross country team finding success at right time

With temperatures in the 50’s and no rain, the Lebanon cross country team continued to impress with a solid outing at Ha Ha Tonka State Park last Saturday.

As a team, the ‘Jackets had 19 out of 29 runners run their personal best times.

“As a coach, I couldn’t have been any more proud of my team,” Lebanon head coach Teresa Moore said about her runners performance on Saturday.

Lebanon had two medalists at the meet with both of them running major PR’s for the season, according to Moore.

Myah Hough placed 8th in the varsity girls’ race running 20:06, and Cael Schmitz placed 17th in the boys’ varsity race running a 16:55.

While these were the only two medalists, Lebanon had 17 other runners break their personal best times These runners were Zach Jamieson, Dylan Church, Dylan Krisher, Michael Jones, Juliane Lopez, Macie Fisher, Tyra Rogers, Zephanie White, Evan Rogers, Ethan Brand, Ayden Carr, Jake Baker, Von Edwards, Makaiya Roy, Chloe Cross, Tara Adams, Jenna Williams.

“With such a young team, it is awesome to witness so many runners achieve new personal records,” Moore said. “We are starting to come together at the right time.”
