The Lebanon City Council expects to decide tonight if it will sell Nelson Park to White River Marine Group for $2.5 Million.
The possible sale of the 30-acre park was on the agenda for a special Council meeting to be held tonight at 6 p.m.
If approved by the Council, the agreement would also allow White River Marine group, owner of the Tracker Marine plant, to begin construction of a new park, with city approval set at all stages of the work. The purchase of land for the new park at $600,000 leaves $1.9 million in sale proceeds for park construction.
City Administrator Michael Schumacher said the city was approached about the sale by White River Marine due to their business needs.
