Thelma Agnes Benner, 90, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, in Springfield.
She was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Lebanon, Mo. to Edward and Frances Stites Price.
On Feb. 6, 1953, she married Ronald H. Benner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Raymond and Clyde Price; three sisters, Helen Dickens, Ruth Ison, and Mabel Price, and one great-granddaughter.
She was an executive secretary for United Savings and Loan for many years. After her retirement, she worked at Waterman Insurance from 1997-2005. She also worked at the sale barn and as a bookkeeper for various businesses in the area.
She was a longtime, active and faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Benner and his wife Vicki, of Niangua; Joe Benner and his wife Lynn and John Benner, all of Lebanon; two daughters, Nancy Dame and her husband Luke and Cyndi Myers and her husband Skip, all of Lebanon; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Thelma Agnes Benner will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, in Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Sara Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
