Margaret F. VanStavern, 71, of Lebanon, died Saturday, May 18, 2019, in Lebanon.
She was born Sept. 19, 1947, in Lebanon, Mo. to Robert and Letha Parker Bailey.
On July 23, 1965, she married Tom VanStavern.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mike VanStavern; a grandson, Alec VanStavern; three brothers-in-law, Rex Randolph, Richard Matti, and Jim VanStavern.
Margaret graduated from Lebanon High School in 1965 and worked at Empire Gas before raising her children. In 1998 Margaret and Tom began a career in hotel management.
She was saved and baptized at Second Baptist Church Oct. 23, 1955, and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Tom VanStavern; her daughter, Lisa Barclay and her husband Shannon, of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Maddison Barclay and her fiancee’, Shawn Allison, Hunter Barclay, Chase VanStavern, and Ryder VanStavern; a daughter-in-law, Kim VanStavern, of Farmington; a brother, Charlie Bailey and his wife Barb, of Lebanon; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bob VanStavern and his wife Mary, of Lebanon; Joyce Randolph, of Lebanon; Judy Matti, of Bolivar; Janice VanStavern Eppard, of Hannibal; other nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Margaret F. VanStavern will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Tim Howe and Wayne Finley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday until service time also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
Memorials have been suggested to Alyson Elliott (she is suffering from Pilocytic Astrocytoma Brain Tumor) and donations can be left or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
