George Edward “Eddie’’ Barber, 72, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, in Lebanon.
He was born Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1947, in Lebanon, Mo. to Joel Edward and Mildred Eileen Butcher Barber, who preceded him in death.
On Aug. 10, 1968, he married Jean Ella Coleman.
After graduation from LHS in 1964, he attended Southwest Baptist University until 1968 and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in business. He entered the United States Air Force as a supply and radar technician. He retired from the United States Air Force after proudly serving our country for over 20 years. He also attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City and obtained his chiropractic license.
Eddie was a longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He is survive by his wife Jean Barber; one daughter, Kira Sanocki (Joseph), of Norman, Okla.; three sons, Rodrik Barber (Charla), of Maryland Heights; Joel E. Barber II (Kellie Buckles), of Hazelwood, and Roy I. Barber, of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Michael Sanocki, Jadzia Sanocki, Darian and Tanner Barber, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for George Edward “Eddie’’ Barber will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Terry Maddux officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
