Donald Lee Renner, 87, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Lebanon, died Aug. 24, 2019, in Bradenton, Fla.
He was born Jan. 11, 1932, in Lebanon, Mo. to Homer and Tish Renner.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Anna, on Dec. 6, 2013.
After graduating from high school in May 1950, he married Anna Juanita (Keeney) Renner in December 1950. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951. In 1971, after completing 20 years of service, he retired with rank of Master Sergeant. He served in Japan, Guam and several continental USA assignments. After retiring from the USAF, he then became a pastor, something he felt called to since he was 12 years old while attending church camp in Greenfield, Mo. He accepted Christ at a tent revival in Lebanon, which he attended with his dad. In 1977, he graduated from Ozark Bible College (n/k/a/ Ozark Christian College) in Joplin with a Bachelor of Sacred Literature. In 1988, he went on to further his education at Louisville Bible College in Louisville, Ky. and obtained his Master of Sacred Literature. He was committed to ministry and was a champion of what he believed to be God’s truth.
He was a member of White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church, while living in Lebanon.
Survivors include a son, Amos Renner and his wife Ellen, of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Marilyn Renner, of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Jim Renner and his wife Evelyn, of Lebanon, and Wally Renner (his wife Pat Renner, deceased), of Owensboro, Ky.; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Warren and Jimmie Hoffman, of Lebanon, and beloved nephews, nieces and many dear friends.
A Private Memorial Service for Donald Lee Renner will be held at White Oak Pond Cumberland Presybyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Wallace Renner officiating. Burial with military honors will be provided by the Uniited States Air Force, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
