David E. Sharp, 60, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at his home.
He was born June 27, 1959, at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. to Marvin and Sylvia Maxine Hooper Sharp.
On Dec. 15, 1979, he married Jayne Andrea Pape.
He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Diana Jones, and his father-in-law, James Pape.
David was raised in a military family and lived in various places around the country. The family eventually settled in Lebanon when David was 13, and he graduated from Lebanon High School. After he and Jayne were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their family. David worked as a drafting engineer for Tracker Marine for over 20 years, and then worked for Marine Electric for over 15 years. He only quit working when his health failed him.
David had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Lebanon.
He is survived by his wife Jayne, of the home; two daughters, Autumn Wallace and her husband Matt, of Ozark, and Kati Sharp, of the home; a son, Jonathan Sharp and his wife Christina, of Ozark; three grandchildren, Isaac, Karli, and Holden; his mother, Sylvia Sharp, of Lebanon; two brothers, Homer Carl Sharp, of Lebanon and Daniel Joseph Sharp and his wife Jaquetta, of Lebanon, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for David E. Sharp will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, in the Community Room at the Lebanon Senior Apartments at 907 Tower Road in Lebanon, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association may be made through the funeral home.
