Arthur Tucker, 88, of Lebanon, died Monday, July 9, 2018, in Lebanon.
He was born June 10, 1930, in Bunker, Mo. to Arthur Greene and Jenni Ellen Decker Tucker.
On Sept. 22, 1951, he married Betty Zane Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Jeffrey Tucker, and six brothers and sisters.
Arthur retired from the United States Army in 1974 as Command Sergeant Major. While making their home in Lebanon, he worked at Ronnie’s Market and at Western Auto.
He was an active and faithful member of First United Methodist Church as long as his health permitted.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Tucker; two sons, Jerry Tucker (Camilla), of Eldridge; Doug Tucker (Debbie), of Marshfield; two daughters, Donna Garrison (Jim); Sue Tucker, all of Lebanon; eight grandchildren, Joshua Tucker (Toni), Travis Tucker, Phillip Garrison (Sara), Callie Tucker (George Denny), Sam Garrison, Whitney Tucker, Patrick Tucker, Daniel Garrison; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kolton, Derek, Boone, Cody, Ally, Grace, Ruth, Tori; other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Arthur Tucker will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Marsha Vincent officiating, and military honors provided by the United States Army.
Inform visiting is to follow the service, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
