The City of Lebanon is requiring the owners of the former Wehner’s Bakery building to demolish the final remaining wall of the structure.
The building at 101 N. Madison was torn down earlier this year because of safety concerns. Now  city officials are asking the owners, Mike and Amanda Wehner to tear down the wall that is connected to the adjacent building.
“The existing exterior wall that is attached to the adjacent building is separating and needs to be removed immediately to prevent damage to the adjacent building and the public. This is detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City of Lebanon,” according to a notice posted by the city on a chain-link fence put up around the demolished building site.
