Two hurt in I-44 wreck

Two people were injured in a 11:04 a.m. wreck Tuesday on Interstate 44 at the 144 mile marker.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Angel D. Zimmerman, 44, of Lakeview, Ind., the driver of a westbound 2010 Mini Cooper swerved into the driving lane and struck a westbound 2018 Caterpillar dump truck in a construction zone.

It was undetermined if Zimmerman sought medical treatment, while Carmack sought his own medical attention. The Highway Patrol listed their injuries as minor.

Zimmerman was reportedly wearing a seat belt, while Carmack was  not wearing a seat belt.
