Tempers come to a boil at Conway meeting

Conway Mayor Fred Savage discusses the number of tests of Conway’s water system conducted by the Department of Natural Resources. 


Citizens concerned by the recent coliform bacteria tests in Conway’s water system and some social media posts by Mayor Fred Savage presented their issues to Conway’s Board of Alderman Tuesday night.
Prior to the meeting, attendees discussed the topics they planned to discuss with the Conway Board of Aldermen.
“I am concerned about the water quality in our town, and I am concerned about the communication from city council to our constituents,” Ruthie Davis said.
Recently, two of several test of Conway’s water system tested positive for coliform bacteria. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has since said that there was no “acute health risk” and the the water was safe.
