Problems nationally for Sears will have an impact locally as  the Sears Hometown Store in downtown Lebanon is closing.
A sign on the door says the store at 112 West Commercial is having a closing sale.  According to the Sears website, the store is “liquidation, all items on sale, everything must go.”   The store was still open Tuesday.
According to the Sears website, its hometown stores carry items including home appliances, lawn and garden equipment, sporting goods, tools, household goods, and consumer electronics with the majority of business driven by big-ticket home appliance and lawn and garden sales.
