Robbery suspect arrested

On Monday morning, Leslie Shields told his place of work that he needed to leave early, and just a few hours later, he allegedly robbed US Bank, according to the Lebanon Police Department.
The 46-year-old Lebanon native was identified shortly after the 1:30 p.m. robbery after a surveillance camera still was released on social media by the police. Tipsters told the police that the person in the picture was Shields and that he worked at DowCo Marine in Lebanon, according to court documents released Wednesday afternoon.
The employer informed the police that Shields had left work about two and a half hours before the robbery.
He was reportedly wearing the same clothes in the picture that he had been wearing at work, the documents say.
Officers later went to Shields’ mother’s home in Lebanon. She was able to positively identify that the person in the picture was her son.
